GAUDÍ - Dancing About Architecture | An Orchestral Ballet

In 2007 S.J. Pettersson completed his first full orchestral ballet, Gaudi - Dancing About Architecture, based on the early 20th century architecture of Antonio Gaudi. The scenario describes how three “mourners,” women dressed in black extravagant dresses, are slowly making their way towards the funeral of the great architect who has just passed. Each piece in the ballet is in the form of dance vignettes taking place in, or outside,  one of Gaudi’s masterpieces such as Palau Güell, Casa Vicens, Casa Milá, Parque Güell, Casa Batlló and finally the great cathedral La Sagrada Familia. As part of the promotional presentation to orchestras S.J. Pettersson created a tri-lingual audio/video presentation of the entire ballet which can be streamed in full here provided your streaming device supports Flash.
